Developed by Original Games, Diner Out: Merge Cafe was a Netflix game, now removed from Netflix in Jul 15, 2025. Authoritative server state. Revival needs a server reimplementation. Technically blocked or shelved. See the case notes.
The Netflix SDK auth is defeated and cloud-save is patched, but two coupled server dependencies remain. Save-load is driven by a live Netflix access-changed event that never fires offline, and the economy (items, chests, currencies, shop) reads from Firebase Remote Config, which is empty offline and broken by re-signing (GMS DEVELOPER_ERROR). Even with the event injected after scene load, the game is a config-crippled shell - PARTIAL at best.
pkg com.netflix.NGP.DinerOut v4.15.2. Diner Out is its canonical 'gate removed but the game has its own dead backend' test case.
